I'm turning my Z into a track only car, and was planning on removing all the wiring for speakers and interior lights. I had the idea today while working on it to remove all the other unnecessary things from inside the car. I know I'll still need the fuel pump controller and wiring for that, but other then that I couldn't really think of anything that would have to stay. I know I'd have to run wires for the brake lights and gauges. Are there any necessary to the car running things that are wired through the body harness? I know the ABS is wired in there but that doesn't have to be there for the car to work. Also car is a 90 and has no airbag and hicas is gone. Will I need a clock spring in the steering wheel? I'll be using the stock steering wheel for a little bit.
